Consciousness of Streams is a three-year interdisciplinary performance that contemplates the lost streams buried beneath the Renfrew-Collingwood neighbourhood. Created by award-winning choreographer Isabelle Kirouac and produced by Stillmoon Arts Society.
I was the composer, nusicain and music coordinator. Over the three years I worked with Zhongxi Wu (Suona and Sheng) in 2022, Solo my clarinet with electronics in 2023, and Martin Reisle in 2024.
In addition the project also had beautiful music performance from Elektra Women’s Choir in 2023 with excerpts from Snewíyalh tl’a Staḵw (Teaching of the Water) Music Composed by T. Patrick Carrabre with Squamish words contributed by Rebecca Duncan.
